Research Summary
Genetic basis of intrinsic post-zygotic barriers in Daphnia
Research Description
My research explores the genomic mechanisms underlying speciation and the maintenance of species boundaries. Using Daphnia as a modelsystem, I investigate the genetic basis of intrinsic post-zygotic reproductive barriers, focusing on the genetic incompatibilities that drive hybridinviability. By integrating controlled laboratory crosses with bioinformatics, my research aims to decode the genetic architecture of hybridincompatibilities and advance our understanding of how new species evolve.
