The Division provides partial support for graduate students to travel and participate in conferences, conduct research, or attend workshops or specialized training sessions. 

An application must be submitted one month prior to the activity for which the funds will be used. 

Departmental travel awards are made possible through the following generous endowments made to the Division: Dr. Philip and Betty Jen Neuroscience Travel Award Fund, Carl Gerhardt and Daynz Glanz Travel Fund in Biology, the Ethel Sue Lumb Award, and the Knotts and Williamson Families Endowment in Biological Sciences.

Additional sources of funds are available to graduate students with financial hardship. Students who would like to be considered for these funds should complete a FAFSA form through Student Financial Aid.
