Nine Staff Recognized for Excellence, Years of Service

Nine staff members of the Division of Biological Sciences were recognized during the University of Missouri’s Staff Recognition Week Awards Ceremony on May 20.
Steven Heinrich, who works as a research maintenance technician for the Division, received the campus-wide Chancellor’s Outstanding Staff Award in the Crafts/Maintenance category. Heinrich also was recognized for his ten years of service to the university.
Eight additional staff members also were recognized for years of service to the university: Weihong Chen and Changzeng Zhao from the Birchler lab (5 years each); Melody Kroll in the administrative office (5 years); Baadi Tadych in the herbarium (10 years); Pat Willis in the fiscal office (25 years); Barb Sonderman in the greenhouse facilities (25 years); Carol Martin in the undergraduate advising office (25 years); and Nila Emerich in the graduate studies office (25 years).
Pat Willis and Nila Emerich also were finalists for Chancellor’s Outstanding Staff Awards in the Administrative/Professional and Office/Secretarial categories.
