Professor Cocroft’s study on caterpillar vibrations gets national coverage

Professor Rex Cocroft‘s recent study showing that plants can recognize the sound of predators through vibrations on their leaves has received national coverage in the media.
Highlights of the study and interviews with Dr. Cocroft and his collaborator, Dr. Heidi Appel in the Bond Life Sciences Center, appeared in the New York Times, National Geographic, National Public Radio, and Time Magazine Online, among other media outlets.
The study was funded in part by the National Science Foundation and was published in Oecologia.
