In an interview with Noelle Buhidar, D Cornelison, Associate Professor of Biological Sciences, details her research on a group of meristem cells called satellite cells and their role in muscle regeneration.
By studying satellite cells in dogs and mice, the Cornelison lab’s goal is ultimately, to find ways to counteract neuromuscular diseases, such as muscular dystrophy, in humans.
