2013 Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award given to Dr. Chris Pires

J. Chris Pires, associate professor of biological sciences, is recipient of the 2013 Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award from the Office of Undergraduate Research. Pires is the first MU faculty member to win the award twice, having received it once before in 2008. The award recognizes the dedication of faculty who advise undergraduates in their research projects and creative and scholarly activities.

Pires also is the recipient of this year’s Advising Shout Out! Award from MU’s Advisor Forum.
